Bodhi is one of the major villains in Baldur's Gate II: Shadows of Amn. She is a vampire who aids Jon Irenicus.
Many years before the events of Baldur's Gate II, she and Irenicus, her brother, performed a sacrilege of dire proportions that left many denizens of the city of Suldanessellar sick, dead or somewhere inbetween.
For this, both were condemned by the high court of Suldanessellar and the Seldarine to live out the rest of what was to become their short lives in penance for their crimes. They would lose touch with all that was elven, and be banished from elven soil until they had redeemed themselves, or died.
Of the duo, it was Bodhi who was the unsatiable one. Unlike her brother, she was always the one not receiving praise, often being treated as an outsider, and her loose morals but powerful influence over her elder brother allowed her to convert Jon to her cause. It was her idea, to perform the rituals on the Tree of Life in a foolhardy attempt at godhood, a shot of power that Bodhi felt she deserved by right.
It is unknown as to what became of them in the first years that passed since that time. At some point, Bodhi unearthed ancient tomes relating to a ritual, to turn herself into an undead vampire, in hopes of avoiding her fate.
It was unsuccessful, which set an example for her brother, who retained his life while his sister embraced undeath, but remained a carnivorous creature of the night, like others of her new kin.
Like Irenicus, she plots for revenge against the elves of her ancient home, and would like nothing more than to have another chance at godhood. Her interest in the Bhaalspawn is cleverly hidden, but she makes no lie about what she either expects of the PC should they side with her, or what will happen in the near future, if the PC rejects her offer, or is too much like his/her current employers for Bodhi to lure from the Shadow Thieves.
