ABUNDANT SPOILERS!
Solaufein is a drow fighter/mage, who can be found in Ust'Natha at the Male Fighter's Society. He bears a bitter memory of his previous (requitted) love for Phaere Despana, who was tortured by drider rods until she lost all her emotions but ambition. Through the series of quests revolving around the Ust Nathan house Despana, Solaufein is revealed to be a follower of Eilistraee, and to be of good alignment. His name is an anagram of " A fine soul".
Wesley Weimer made an Solaufein (BGII NPC) mod which vastly expands the original character and allows you to take Solaufein into your party.
